Bees are a recurring theme in the artist’s creations. Their important role as pollinators and bioindicators of environmental changes, but also their extremely complex social behaviour, raise questions about our own behaviour and our role within society.

Baselgia’s responsibly created works are part of a local, self-contained ecosystem that show how humans are integrated into a larger whole. For many years, he has been exploring the interrelationships between humans, other life forms and the natural world. Regionality and sustainability play an important role in the artist’s work.
