Art as an exploratory process. At the centre is a floating sculpture, a relic from the past and at the same time a glimpse into the future, reconstructed in the rooms of the gallery. This enigmatic hybrid forms the starting point for the artistic research activities of the Multiplayer-Mode group. The artists Camill von Egloffstein, Lea Grebe and Manuel Strauß approach this unknown life form in a process. The result is an archive of fragmentary artefacts. To create these artefacts, the artists use very different techniques and combine these processes to create new ways of working. Traditional wickerwork and bronze casting meet industrial production using 3D printing and inlays polished with shellac.
