Art is often sharply differentiated from craftsmanship and technology. How often is the question asked on both a small and large scale: is this pure craftsmanship or artistic creation?

In the case of printmaking, the opposite is true. There is no separation between the individual disciplines. Without the printing technique, there would be no prints. At the same time, a print is nothing more than a print without artistic creation. It is only through the interplay of art, technology and mastery of the craft that printmaking emerges as an artistic medium. We would like to give this fascinating medium a stage with this exhibition.
